"I'm all for a balanced debate ... but..."
In HC stock threads, you never hear people asking overly optimistic posters to be more balanced. They just ask negative posters to be more balanced even when 95% of penny stocks are garbage and the negative poster is correct.
"Negative" posts actually balance overly positive stock threads. The poster is feeling that something is wrong and that no one is giving the problem proper weight in the discussion, and so they start getting louder. Therefore, I like negative posters. They draw attention to problems.
People are different. Some are overly logical, some are overly emotional, some are overly intuitive, and some are overly grounded. But everyone together balances the discussion well.
