thankyou for your reply, and I am aware of most of what you say in your counter-argument.

Re K. Rudd's proposed tax and NKP: I simply wanted to draw a comparison of a Western country which - as a result of the proposed tax - is now viewed internationally as having a nationalisation agenda and South Africa, which is making similar noises (please check the PLA thread).

However, after reading your post I have had second thoughts: a world-wide company like X-Strata would be aware of the dangers inherent in investing in countries with unreliable jurisdictions anyway, so you answered my concerns very well, and I feel a little more secure about staying in NKP, which I initially bought for a medium to long-term hold.

The need and competition for platinum resources is a constant.
