Yes, of course, but he's not obligated to chuck in a million bucks because theres no deal done yet.
You wouldn't put 1m at risk at a premium without a very HIGH level of conviction would you. Also, i'd much rather see an exec director putting more skin in the game than letting it go to an outside party
