watso at the agm from the agm

watso led the charge, by voting against all resolutions, but abstained from voting for the re election of mr gooderick. watso also questioned if it was safe (were they poisened)for watso to eat the bickies - which mysteriously disappeared - see yesterdays post

from sustained questioning, by watso, which had the the board squirming in their seats, i was able to glean the following - as a general rule, media agents get 15% of the revenue. i also asked how much a sign - such as the one proposed for time square, could expect in revenue - i told them i did not want to hear about commercial confidentialtiy - i wanted to know, in general, what the rate was for that type of sign - well the response was that it was 1.25m dollars (or was it 1.5 m dollars ?????) stupid watso, having been caught of guard by the response, failed to ask if it was american dollars, or australian dollars.

anyway, some interesting points to come out of the meeting :-

the bgc sign in perth, uses about $5000 per annum of electricity - which compares to an estimated cost of about $125,000, if it were a comparitive other type of sign (watso does his best not to mislead - and i forget what the "other" sign was)

the cost of a "lumapanel", is about $4000 per square metre, compared to a cost of about $15,000 per square metre for a full video alternative

the sign in moscow, is not the "lumapanel" - but one of the other lumacom products - i forget which one

when one shareholder asked why the company did not release too much information, watso responded with derision, that the company had announced such things as "lumacom takes on asia" etc. obviously that shareholder did not read all the reports
