I agree with your sentiments, however don't know if I would describe the close as brilliant, but more one of relief. But each to their own.

Certainly it would appear all the bad news is out there, and now all we are waiting on is for the Krudd government and the mining executives to come to the table and debate sensibly where this mining tax is going to go. Imo this conundrum is the major reason WDS, AJL and the like, are languishing in the current market climate.

Apart from Europe (and that is a big part I must admit), the other major economies appear to have in place strategic plans that are working in regard to combating the GFC, whilst our market is choosing where it takes its lead. One day the DOW seems to influence our direction, the next it is the Euro debacle, either way, we appear to struggle with any real confidence.

The pleasing aspect for me today with regard to WDS is like you said about the carrot dangling at the close. It would appear the sellers are taunting the buyers to in fact raise their offers, I hope this trend continues. Whilst the large quantity of those wishing to buy at 40c remains where it is, and we don't get an equally large offer to buy at less than 40c, imo we have a good chance of getting to 50c, sooner rather than later.

And if we can get a CSG/LNG contract on the table soon, we should be out of the woods, but imo there is still room for concern.

For all us holders I hope the next few weeks sees us able to hold the company's year end financial projections,a nd that 2010/2011 financial year starts with a bang, so to speak!
