Gly is widely used all over the world as a herbicide. It is off patent, and the market has been taken over by the Chinese.
A couple of years ago there has a huge surge in gly prices, and everyone, including NUF stocked up gig time. The price collapsed, and NUF was left with huge, high priced stocks of gly. It is a big part of their revenue, and they are still working through the gly stocks. It has been a disaster for NUF.
NUF is a generics based business, and margins are constantly being hammered by the Chinese and Indian suppliers. Australia has one of the most competitive (low margin) generic markets in the world.
Gly will be around for a long time to come.
