Military 4x4's are heavy or much heavier for obvious reasons. Mud and sand come in various consistencies and the driver chooses his/her path to adapt to same. Most 4x4 drivers understand this dynamic. Weight is only an issue if the driver fails to understand the conditions and terrain.
