The advocate SUBJECT here is an entirely different matter, advocating for something entirely different = sins.
The area or Advocate, Helper we have been discussing is for reminding us and teaching one, of all the words Jesus said and the words he has, hence the Spirit of truth would take all of Jesus's (words) and show or reveal.
