More than happy with this news, (and I certainly don't claim to be knowledgeable in O&G contracts), but can anyone explain why Pelican would sign up for a future offtake, when they could just as easily have taken the uncontracted gas from Vali...now? Seems a little odd, when we only have AGL for Vali when the plan is for all Vali/Odin gas to end up at beckler anyway.
Granted, Pelican may not be ready yet to take on the gas supply, but that seems unlikely.
Anyway, it's still good news and the mkt obviously likes it, just would have preferred some solid news on the Vali situation than a future OTA, that may or may not happen in the Sept qtr.
