I was reading through the xjo thread last night and someone posted what economists and financial gurus were saying in the us before the great crash in the 1930s.

With the benefit of hindsight they are laughable.

One financial guru was quoted as saying the worst is over, it's time to buy as he left on a boat for a holiday to Europe.

Guess what.... the MARKET PLUNGED BIG TIME... interesting thing is he was one of only dozens and dozens of high profile people saying the same thing.

As Holy would say... they didn't see it coming.

It's well worth a read if you can find it on xjo.
