That is pretty much Kuhn's point - all education is brainwashing. And no, Kuhn was not referring to the "old way" of educating. But, Kuhn would also point out that this, in itself, is not a bad thing. In fact, it is a necessary step in the real macro scientific process. Your brainwashing is not a barrier to you making a useful contribution to science, if that is what you choose to do.
