Since the director buying at $3.12 a while back the trend has been pretty much sideways. The stock is now holding up pretty well in a very bearish environment. I was much more worried when it was falling in a rising market and underperforming relative to other stocks.
My belief is that yield underpinning has finally kicked in and that we've seen the last of its underperformance relative to the All Ords. However, that's not great comfort as it has only stabilised at 75% of its issue price and as pointed out by the previous poster the markets may well have further downside, from which Myer will not be exempt.
Overall though I am no longer particularly concerned about Myer. The yield is better than a bank at the moment and other leading stocks are not exactly flying, so the opportunity cost of holding it has been largely eliminated. The main concern now is whether when the market rebounds, Myer shares in it.
