Thanks, that is interesting. I was not aware they had to be maintained at that high temperature for operation. Not an issue for grid use, but does mean they are only really feasible outdoors and the main niggle I can see here is heat loss. There will always be heat loss. and that means energy losses. They talk about insulation, but how hot is the surface of each cell? If it is more than the location ambient, they are losing energy. Which begs the question... has this energy loss been quantified?
