Yeah you might be right, I dont think either view point is wrong. For me the thing that will really move the needle is a dividend, cash back in an investors pocket will really create demand for the share, I would be keen to see the total shares outstanding reduced as much as possible first, and maybe the company is planning on moving up the buy order slightly, I just couldnt see them doing it quickly as it might scare off all the potential sellers. It really becomes a combination of factors, how much does brk really want the shares and how much do other investors want the shares and how much are those parties willing to fight for those shares and how high will they go, I thinn given that the stock is already 60% up off the low, I still remain in the frame of mind that the company will not fight hard for the shares currently. Of course as more price action proceeds we will know more. And of course this is just another opinion and could be way off.
