Good question, the share price has been in decline for a while, with management proposing to split up the company to create an Australian Office Reit. This was mentioned about two years ago, and we are still waiting. They did mention market conditions were not the best, so put the split on hold. Meanwhile the share price finds new lows. I wonder about the back ground on ARA who managed to get control of the board a number of years ago, and their true intent. Could they be getting the share price as low as possible to buy the company at a discount?? The lack of any management updates tells me they do not care about share price or share holders. All we can do is vote against performance incentives, but would be surprised if there were any KPIS met based on performance. At least we got a good dividend today.
