I suspect when the main DFS was delayed for a few months and this one coming in a week or two is only going to be the 4 ktpa plant as you have highlighted, its not going to move the dial much because by definition they wont be addressing the bigger project economics until the later study. That's where the rubber really hits the road. So if they were needing money to advance the project now, then whether they went now or in a few weeks time unlikely to make much difference in raise price and as you pointed out with the run up to $ 1.20, if there are commitments coming up ( and that's probably very likely, given the original dfs was supposed to be out by now), they probably had to go now, or the whole project timelines would be delayed. This is just how things happen in the real world........

Yes Cannacord did get a nice deal for the soph investors, but honestly our SOI will still be like 330 M issued shares after this raise. Contrast Lake which has 1.40 Bn issued shares or LTR , over 2 Bn shares issued. Critiques about timing of this cap raise are really critiques about capital management in general but to get to this stage of project development and only have 330 M issued shares with cashflows commencing a mere 2 years away, we are going pretty well on this measure. Bigger and more important fish to fry or be worried about in the bigger DFS out around August.
