I emailed the Registry asking them to cancel the cheque and deposit to my account as they had with the dividend. Unfortunately, I had forgotten to include my SRN number which they requested in reply (9 days after my email). By this time, the cheque had arrived which I took to my bank last Monday.
The bank will charge a $75.00 collection fee because of the large value and I won't have access to the funds until they are cleared.
It may be 3 weeks or more from the takeover date (2 May) before I receive the funds.
Not good.
