Brilliant!!. A very nice life changing plan.

At times investing in Lithium feels like a bit of a cult - but in a good way.

I am a little obsessed with it as I see it as a huge chance for the average retail investor to make big bucks in less than a decade. I literally go to bed every night dreaming about it and wake up every morning excited about it. Then there's every day watching the markets and every weekend reflecting and thinking about it.

Barely any of my friends and family are interested even though I've tried so hard to get them to invest. But most people in life have very little appetite for risk and see the stock market as pure gambling.

By nature I am a gambler and risk taker. But I have learned over time (after a lot of losses mind you) that this can be an asset if combined with solid research, some risk mitigation and playing at the bigger end of the thematic with 80% of my Lithium holdings in quality stocks such as PLS, CXO and AKE. Sure, have a punt on a junior with some funds, but don't go all in on a penny stock.

I know some went all in on GXY, LTR and PLS back in the early days, and are now multi millionaires. It worked out well in the end. But those same massive success stories almost lost the lot along the way. GXY and PLS were both fairly lucky to survive. Some like Altura (I was a holder), Alita and others did not survive. SYA barely survived too.

I've played it a little more conservatively, but still had a very good crack as projects and balance sheets became a little more derisked, and I even grabbed a few CXO at the early stages which was nice, but I was way in the red at the time (early 2020) so couldn't throw much at it.

Lithium is changing peoples lives and it's great to be part of this little "cult" on HC on my favourite stocks. The average person on the street just has no idea and I feel like screaming at them to say "what the hell are you doing not investing in this theme right now!!". Those people will likely be working into their 70's with the current high cost of living. I plan on mid 50's tops but I still need my favoured stocks to fire. About double from here would probably do it for me, or a junior or two giving me some nice gains. Probably a combination of the two.
