An ardent atheist such as yourself could hardly deny that the bible describes such events as actually happening literally,so how can I, a believer.
A couple of points.
I'm an atheist by my definition of an atheist and not by your ardent atheist definition.
I don't deny all BIblical descriptions as literal, but do deny some of them as literal for very good reasons; some of the figurative ones have great spiritual value.
Your religious beliefs are your own choice which you don't have to justify to me.
But don't ask me
OK, I won't because there is no good reason to.
ask your long suffering wife
Your making these types of judgements is not an example of Christian behaviour.
I suspect that this violates HC's Terms of Use.
I have asked you to leave my wife out of it - the focus should be on the material and not on the Poster's spouse.
