The Emasculation of the Police over the last twenty years has been pretty bad. Like I have said before when you lower standards of physical.ability you get cowards with high tech toys that then rely on the toy. Communication and Open hand tactics lost. When you have good physical abilities you can think laterally, not panic and confidently make sound decisions..Those skills have been lost...We can see this in military life as well where an IT kid from an office in Nevada can eliminate soldiers in remote locations with a stick and button.But without tech the kid would be decimated by a soldier in seconds. As a British redcoat would have been by a raging Maori Warrior I agree that Tasering a 95 yr old female with just a steak knife , on the surface sounds ludicrously bad. But due process and investigation is needed. (Note Police Services are notoriously bad at investigating their own. And 'maintain the facade at all costs is usually the outcome).
