"You're not really telling the full story with your one selected stat there"
My post was yesterday and the price was about $1.57 at the time - I am absolutely certain that WAM has gone ex-div and it is fairly simple maths to say 15.5c/1.57 = 9.873 and increased for franking credits is that divided by 0.7 = 14.1%.
When buying it is the price at purchase that counts, not what it might have been a few days earlier. My "one selected stat" as you call it, is the important one - not the one you wish to imply, from an earlier date.
I actually bought a few thouand today, but had to pay $1.58 and so will yield a little less than my prior calculation. Actually, I think 14% is not a bad return.
