A trade secret on how to make a product or a recipe with secret ingredients is considered to be ‘IP’ in the food industry and my current employer guards it with absolute secrecy. Look at Cadbury, their purple colour of wrapping was a Trademark which is considered to be the ‘intellectual property’ of Cadbury. So I see absolutely no difference between that and what Pablo is doing at Puna.
