A prolonged period of rain continues.

Locations: - Southwest Fort Nelson region, south of the Mile 202 Rest Stop - B.C. Peace River

When: Tonight through Tuesday.

Total Rainfall amounts: 50 to 75 mm with local amounts approaching 100 mm for southern areas of the BC Peace River District.

Threat: Risk of flooding and debris flow.

Remarks: A significant and slow-moving low pressure system developing over central Alberta will bring a prolonged period of rain to northeastern British Columbia.

Rain over the southern sections of Fort Nelson will taper off overnight. However, rain at time heavy over the B. C. Peace River will persist into Tuesday night.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.
