The Roadshows I attended highlighted the fact that many of the Ministers were appointed by the President and were in fact mates. If I was going to ruin the career of my colleagues and have them punished down the track for corrupt dealings I would want an independent Court to give me the basis on which to make a fully informed decision based on ALL the facts and the players who have influenced this process. Hence, the President will take action when the time is right if these people don't fall on their own sword so to speak before the Court case rulings are handed down. You might pay to consider how some of our own Politicians act when they bring in IBAC and conduct Royal Commissions and don't act on the recommendations. We have seen great examples post Covid where all levels of Govt. would have wished they acted better or differently. But this is the world stage and if you want to attract serious Foreign investment, particularly from the US then you have to follow due process and take action. But I reckon the Govt's submission to the ICC will be clear based on the Directorate's findings.
