Of course it is my opinion and i bet on it.
i dont get it why should NRZ follow that path 50-50?
that's why they working on deal, hire barrenjoey to work on better deal. to me selling that project is more beneficial for all party rather than funding it via equity especially at current price (again, my opinion).
consider that you have a certain limited size of revenue that you need to redistribute to shareholder (5 fold from current). even if that 400 M being absorb by current shareholder entirely, it is destroying shareholder value. why? because there is a need to add additional capital, your returns on investment will drop.
at the end of the day, it is earning per share matter, then what is that value compare to invested capital per share. it is no different with company looking at ROIC to determine its investment attractiveness.
i am not saying it is impossible for them to issue 400M worth of share, but this will definitely their last options (including no one buying the project, my opinion).
a wrong deal is irreversible damage to shareholder.
