The point I am making is that any physical intervention involves risk. The police were called, they anticipate physical danger, which they are prepared to face. If you want an intervention that is benigh, a deescalation, the people best qualified to do that are the homes staff. Obviously the care givers thought the situation was beyond there capability. The police came in an responded expediently.
