I don't know what point you're trying to make. NPV by definition is a current (or PRESENT) value.

As at the time the project value is calculated for viability. Once locked in it is not updated every month, except maybe to measure progress against the original numbers. And as I said, in measuring this progress the boardroom boys would be dancing a jig and doing high 5's.
