Not entirely true, but yes you are right, police are a pretty tight bunch, naturally due to the nature of the job. And I will admit it pains me to be critical but there has been a grievous error in judgement in this case. What also pains me is that incidents like these bring disrepute to police who are overwhelmingly a great bunch of people, not thugs that they're portrayed as! All I ask is that people view this incident for what it is, an extremely poor error of judgement by one individual. Chatting with colleagues, all are appalled and like myself cannot reconcile in any way how or why an experienced officer would take the action he did. He should and has to be held accountable criminally!
