Just to clarify - the well wasn't "dry"!!! A dry well is when they don't intercept hyrdrocarbons.....very bad. We did hit hydrocarbons (they haven't clarified the nature yet - oil? gas? what ratio?). Sounds like it's the thin layers of sand that have hurt the commerciality. I wouldn't be clutching at straws and hope they hit the flank of the structure, but I'd be curious to know why the 3D seismic didn't pick this up?
