You are right Paul100, I am completely wrong. INdeed, the RSPT will be used to fill the existing huge budget deficit from Rudds pork barrelling and the bigger problems of social benefit and health financing are still completely unsolved!
Show me a government willing to put the RSPT in trust for the future and not spend it on electioneering bribes and I might change my mind. But in the absence of that, my belief is that money is safest in the hands of individuals and private enterprise, not in the hands of a socialist government.
