A very honest post, but one has to consider personal trade practices, and a brutally honest assessment of the market as a whole and where it is heading. I only traded BAS just before the announcement, and a little after, I bought it under.10 and sold it at.18 cents.

And never went back after that as I understand that there are advantages to some LTH strategies, but if you compare it to short term holds only bought on low ranges and sold in shorter periods of time there is no comparison as the market has changed considerably.

You could buy in to a share like BHP i suppose all eggs one basket, but what happens if it goes down by 10 dollars if a recession hits. You become locked in, and who can on average spend close to 100 thousand on a 45 dollar share, only some, a lucky few who are lucky I guess?. Good luck to them.

If oil and gassers like BAS go higher, it will be because they are needed to keep the country going IE necessity, because the renewable sector and the political scene are just slaughtering this industry. And if the voice gets in then what's the bet a lot of mining leases go back to traditional owners and custodians of the land as the new constitutional changes could enshrined such decision.

Too much uncertainty, hope i'm wrong but i like the tech sector now personally. Just my take.
