I had thought what you have written ,but Whirlswirl has contributed a previous post in this thread that contradicts this view. I won't try to paraphrase - check it out!
While Argus could never be afforded in, say, DRC or Sudan, perhaps it could be used in , say, Ukraine. I agree that it may not be practical in a vast space, but the Australian Army obviously thought it could have a role.
