re: if mnr is worth $2 what is tas worth, $4-$10 Assuming this boom continues, I really think it would be worthwhile to have an HC Mining Camp in each capital city.
We can have a couple of geos, geostatisticians, geophysicists, petroleum geos/engineers and mining engineers give brief presentations on exploration and development.
It will not happen but it sure is necessary.
I cannot believe the naive tripe written about mining stocks by some posters on this site.
Take TAS for example, you get the feeling that an orebody bigger than Prominent Hill has already been found and in development for goodness sakes.
I just wish would go back and read the announcement for a start-they are in the right rocks, are deep already, and are now going deeper because the lithologies are similar.
Nothing wrong with that-but they have not found an orebody yet, let alone a commercial one.! And to use gravity to identify the total dimensions of an orebody-give me a break. No-one wants to comment that they drilled on the magnetic high for example-or has that been discredited already, and saying you are on the edge of a mild gravity high sounds better?
Frankly no one knows, but this is a risky business and geophysical anomalies -whether magnetic , gravity, ground mag, IP or EM-none are perfect and have a 100% strike rate.
OK, the other side of the coin now we appreciate risk.
The best % return from a new discovery is at the stage of new discovery, not at the start of production. The market invariably overpays out of greed.
Whilst probabilities suggest Marathon will be feather dusters, if in the remote chance it does jag something substantial- a ten bagger is quite possible. "Greed is good"!
    Cheers,TAS
