I can never understand [no matter how many times explained] what exactly is a cross trade? I realise it's two parties trading between themselves; and supposedly the price is determined collectively by the market.
I just don't get why my buy orders at a higher price aren't first filled if they are self-trading at a lower price.
Any ideas???
