Between 4.00 and 4.10pm there is always much jockeying (a mad scramble in fact) to ensure their shares get bought/ sold at the final mean price. Buys can go ridiculously high and sells correspondingly low. It's all settled in a few seconds after 4.10. If the sellers at $1.235 you mentioned had got in just a few seconds earlier they would have had a sale at $1.63. They were just too late in placing the order.
