Good point Split. Bali has just decided to turn it's taxi fleet over to BYD. Yet I can't see most Americans or Australians embracing the smallish and somewhat aesthetically displeasing Chinese small EV. The transistion will get rapid once a reputable and acceptable version of a popular SUV or pick up occurs and is won over to the common man. Here in Au the bulk of males 20-45 all want dual cab utes,such as Hilux, Triton and Ford Ranger. The Tesla range to date has not really won over the working man. With Toyota 4wd's being a big part of Australian motoring life it will need a quite convincing EV to fill that void. I have no doubt it will happen, just needs the popular opinion to change...
