Well there is a whole lot of assumptions here...first off, the 0.002 is a terrible price for the equity issue in CLE, CLE has been trading at 0.001 for much of the past year so equity has been issued at 50% premium already. Effectively, EUR have converted real cash (cash is currently tight in the markets and is a luxury to have) to equity in a sh*t and underperforming company at a 50% premium.
Also there is a very good reason why CLE SP price is 0.001-0.002 so making an assumption that it can be cashed out at a higher value is somewhat naive as that would be breaking its underperformance trend of many years. This have escalated the risk profile for the recovery of that cash as it is now linked to the SP of a defunct entity. Again no matter how you spin it, this is a terrible deal.
