Consolidation does diddly-squat for anything, except perhaps perception if you want to list on an overseas exchange. But I see holders of stocks like SYA (10B shares on issue) talking about consolidation like it's either some evil shadow, or some miracle cure. It is neither. It simply adjusts the number of shares on issue without impacting the market cap. So a theoretical holder with 1,000,000 IMU shares at average cost 10c ($100K) post a 10-1 consolidation will now have 100,000 shares at average cost of $1 ($100K). Whoopy-do
