WAF share price performance has been quite dismal considering the gold price has been very strong:
If we measure performance from April 2021, Gold is ahead, followed by XGD, then last comes in WAF. However all is not lost because measuring performance from an earlier date would see WAF in front.
However, overall gold stocks are under-performing the gold price by a long way (compared to the historical mean). As a result, if the gold price remains strong, gold stocks have a lot of catching up to do - and especially WAF!!!
