Roberts Smith will still have this judgment against him that he is probably a murderer, even if a criminal trial doesn't reach the required standard of proof to incarcerate him. His problem is that there were 26 witnesses who testified against him at the trial. His argument against them is that they were motivated by jealousy to bring him down. That argument really is an insult to anyone's intelligence. If there are one or two witnesses against you, maybe they're motivated by jealousy, but 26? So the SAS isn't full of brave soldiers, they're really a bunch of jealous school girls who can't cope if a fellow soldier is successful. Wouldn't someone like Roberts Smith (or at least his image) be the archetype of what serious military people would seek to emulate, rather than someone they would all be out to bring down?
