Extremadura New Energies complies with the cancellation of the Valdeflorez Research Permit and will request in the coming months the Pass to Grant its integrated industrial projectExtremadura New Energies complies, although it does not share, with the judicial ruling on the appeal it filed last January and which confirms the denial of the Investigation Permit at the Valdeflórez site. The company continues to maintain that the actions proposed do not constitute extraction or exploitation of raw materials, but that they are mere actions to study the subsoil not affected by limitations in the General Urban Planning Plan of Cáceres. In any case, and while the company's legal services analyze the possibility of filing an appeal against this judgment in higher instances, to defend the legal rights that correspond to it, it will continue to advance in the application for a Direct Concession of Exploitation during the coming months with the presentation of the final project to start the environmental assessment process. On the other hand, Extremadura New Energies advances that it will also appeal the other resolution of the High Court of Justice of Extremadura known yesterday, which revokes the investigation permit "Extension of Valdeflórez" when the chamber understands that the environmental evaluation is necessary prior to the granting of permission to carry out the surveys. The company recalls that the project presented at the time by the company was favorably informed by the General Directorate of the Environment in two reports of 2017 and 2018. These reports made it clear that, in any case, if in the future actions contemplated in Annex VI of Law 16/2015, on environmental protection of Extremadura were carried out, they would be subjected at that time to abbreviated environmental assessment and in no case at the time of the application for the investigation permit. In any case, these resolutions do not affect the administrative processing of the project. Once the Board granted the Exploration Permit to the project and issued the Scope Document requested by the company, Extremadura New Energies will request in the coming months the Direct Concession of the deposit as it is a perfectly known and identified deposit, and its technical and economic viability has been demonstrated for its rational use over the coming decades, as contemplated by the Mining Law.In this sense, the extraction model designed by Extremadura New Energies has developed a new project that responds to all the concerns raised. Thus, a 100% underground extraction area is foreseen without any impact on the surface and with a single access mouth located next to a lithium processing plant that will be unique in Europe and that will place Cáceres at the heart of the new industrial ecosystem that is being generated around lithium.Extremadura New Energies, a company with its social and fiscal headquarters in Cáceres, proposes an environmentally sustainable initiative that sets a goal of zero emissions and zero discharge, in which natural gas fuel is replaced by green hydrogen, water from the wastewater treatment plant is used, the plant is fed with 100% renewable electricity and a fleet of vehicles and electrical equipment is used.An initial investment of more than 600 million is estimated, as well as the generation of 1,500 jobs during the 2 years of construction and more than 700 during the 27 years of operation. The General Directorate of Sustainability sends the Scope Document to Extremadura New Energies, reinforcing the processing of the projectThe General Directorate of Sustainability sends the Scope Document to Extremadura New Energies, reinforcing the processing of the projectBrussels identifies lithium hydroxide as a "strategic raw material"Brussels identifies lithium hydroxide as a "strategic raw material"The report of the Senior Club of Extremadura highlights that ENE's industrial project "can be a real revulsive" for CáceresThe report of the Senior Club of Extremadura highlights that ENE's industrial project "can be a real revulsive" for CáceresSeven out of ten people from Cáceres believe that ENE's industrial lithium processing project will be beneficial for the city and for Extremadura
