Yes the facts show that no amount of money will get renewables to work, based on that graph...other wise we would have excess power already going to batteires storing the excess (if your intention is to get power prices down)...but not happening.
If after the trillions spent this is teh result, then we have to look for a better return.
Coal, gas & nuclear is it.
