123, what precisely do you have against the miners? Yes they are very successful right now, but they comply with the ATO, ASIC and ACCC regs, just like any other business. Cast your mind back a mere 10 years ago, when mines were so cheap and worthless that IT companies bought their shares loc stock and barrel to avoid having to go through the arduous process of listing on the ASX. A month or two ago the miners were the goose that laid the golden egg and kept Australia out of the worst of the GFC through huge export earnings, and now, on Kev & Wayne's say-so, they are public enemy number one. They have stolen what rightfully belongs to the Australian people. There was in chap in Germany in the mid 1930-s that said the same thing about jews. Made a very successful career for himself by comparing jews with rats (ratf....rs???) and was at the time seen as an economic genious by taking from them whatever he wanted because they weren't Germans (foreigners)
Maybe it proves that people are basically simple and will believe whatever they are told, as long as they think they can get a shake of the sauce bottle.
