    No, you kind of missed the point.

    AD uses patsies to hide his involvement. However, in this case, he onboarded Ken and his family.

    Ken's family and friends are more loyal to him than to AD.

    While AD certainly benefitted from IOU financially, whoever Ken and co are aligned with benefitted far more.
