yes the wage rises were probably taking the interest rise effect on rental rates into account when determining the pay rise. should they gone harder do you think? higher rises would make it too hard for the businesses, any less would not really achieve much for those who count every dollar each week.
do you know that Labs in opposition were doing what was traditional in Aus politics. those in opposition only voted against something on fact or principle, but those principles were always reasoned and debated. nothing like the total Opposition as used by Abbott and every Lib leader (almost... Turnbull reverted to the tradition).
