Talks are going on at the highest level atm.
The Canadian Gov are renegotiating the financial terms with Stellantis  because VW got a better deal for their EV battery plant in Canada.
Fun and games.
Northvolt used the Canadian/US deals as a threat of not opening a new gigafactory in Germany.
E.U/Germany have  matched the handouts  which was  finalized in miracle time about a month.
Hence why Northvolt are intending to build 2 ev battery plants in parallel one in Quebec and another in Germany.
The proposed Quebec plant and financing and the Stellantis deal would be keeping everyone busy right now.
I am thinking, this is a very expensive time for Trudeau and plans.
Canadian minerals including locally sourced Li will be a major factor in the deals to balance the expenditure.
