Afternoon,deckhand
To me a gap is a gap between two bars next to each other,
which is eg: a gap between high to the upside to low of followIng bar..
that they don't meet..say high 200, low of next bar is 205, hence gap of 5 cents
on the Low side..low of 200..high of next bar 195 hence gap of 5 cents
on your example above i can only see one gap..on the left side of drawing..
the other all have tails which are within the previous bar. hence no gap.
on the right side of the drawing i can see no gaps at all..
But to note..some traders only use the body of the candle so they disregard the tails.
