While most sales-based businesses' do get a disproportionate percentage of turnover from a lesser percentage of their product groups.....you just can't rationalise the range to the profitable lines, and exclude the rest. Seen accountants do it plenty with some pretty ugly results. Retail/wholesale - it doesn't matter.
You're right to be pretty grumpy about the performance of Hills management in the last 10 years or so Harrycool, but I think you are over-simplifying solutions to the protracted mismanagement over the last decade.
