    I don't know. A simple answer for a simple minded fool.

    I don't know and neither do you. Not if you're honest.

    That's the point. Nobody does except those 2.

    Suspicion, bias, whatever is going through your head doesn't cut it in a court of law.

    Or it shouldn't anyway.

    There was no forensic evidence. No timely report to anyone. No call to police for help. No medical swabs taken. No DNA evidence. Nothing.
    No eye witnesses. Not a damn thing, just someone making an accusation and someone denying it.

    You work it out Mr smarty-pants cos I don't know who was telling the truth.

    Guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

    That's the legal hurdle all jurors swear an oath to consider before coming to a decision to convict.

    Unless the matter is put to another trial we will never know the truth.
