I cannot match the Frogtrader comment to any historical supporting facts.
On 12 April 2005, when the stock was around a dollar, Paladin announced to the market that Pretorius resigned.
After LP departed PDN did grow to about $10, but under different leadership.
But then the company continued through a period of instability and sustained share price decline, with the share price collapsing never to recover in 2013 and was finally put into administration on 3 July 2017. The historical chart at ASX looks to my eyes identical to what has happened with GCM since LP took it over.
